María Carolina Pereira Sáez holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of La Coruña (Spain), where she is currently a tenured professor. Her academic work has focused primarily on natural law theory and the thought of John Finnis, as well as bioethics, American principlism, and new human rights. She has been an FPU pre-doctoral fellow, with stays at Valparaiso University in Indiana, USA, and University College, Oxford, UK, and has served as a researcher on several research projects funded by state and regional agencies.
