He holds a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1999), a master's degree in Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002) and a doctorate in Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2010). He is currently a professor and coordinator of the Bachelor of Law programme at the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in the field of law, with an emphasis on philosophy of law, working mainly on the following topics: human rights, philosophy of law, legal methodology, practical reason, and democracy. He is interested in philosophy of law, particularly considering the relationship between law, politics, and ethics from the perspective of natural law.
