José Justo Megías Quirós is a Spanish Full Professor (Catedrático) of Philosophy of Law at the University of Cádiz, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Philosophy of Law, Theory of Law, Legal Ethics, Fundamental Rights, and Legal Argumentation. He holds a PhD in Law, with a specialization in Philosophy of Law, and a Degree in Law. His academic work focuses on legal philosophy and legal theory, with particular attention to the foundations of law, legal positivism and natural law, legal reasoning, the relationship between law and ethics, and the conceptual analysis of fundamental rights. He is the author of numerous books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles in his field, and he has participated in competitive national and international research projects related to legal theory and philosophy of law. In addition to his teaching and research activities, he regularly takes part in academic conferences, seminars, and scholarly debates, and serves as a member of academic committees and research groups. He also acts as a reviewer for specialized legal and philosophical journals.
