Carlos Marcelo Orive González is a lawyer and notary from Guatemala. He earned his Law degree from Universidad del Istmo and a Master’s in Family Law from the University of Navarra, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of Law. He teaches Natural Law and Philosophy of Law at Universidad del Istmo and is an Associate Member of the VITA Research Center. His research focuses on integrating New Natural Law into private law. He is a member of the International Natural Law Society and participates in international research and educational collaborations across Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
Research Fields: Natural Law, New Natural Law Theory, Private Law Theory, Family Law, and the philosophical foundations of justice, with a focus on John Finnis and contemporary jurisprudence.
